As a math interventionist, I've found that small group instruction provides the perfect opportunity to strengthen number sense skills through hands-on activities and meaningful mathematical discussions. When working with students who need additional support in math, having the right tools can make a significant difference. I just completed my third year as a math interventionist.  Over those three years I've found that a handful of supplies consistently help students build number sense, stay engaged, and better understand mathematical concepts.
